The BAD NEWS is human sinfulness and separation from a holy God. There is NOTHING we can do to save ourselves from sin. This is what the Bible calls eternal punishment. BUT, God had a solution and that was in sending his only son to die for our sins on the cross at Calvary. He, Christ took our sins upon Himself, died, was buried, and resurrected on the third day (1 Cor 15:3-4). It was on the cross that God judged our sins through Jesus Christ. He, Christ took our place for all have sinned. Salvation from eternal damnation is a "FREE GIFT " offered to all who trust in Jesus Christ alone.
